Woohoo ! It's SO wonderful to actually be able to think about meeting up in person, face to face, in an actual garden!!! The relief resulting from the gradual lifting of restrictions is such a boost to everyone's spirits - and our lives are getting busier as we try to navigate these first tentative steps back into a more 'normal' life (whatever that might be!).
Here at WeStitch we've been thinking about how we might meet up - and after six months of staring at each other & our stitching on our screens, we've decided to be brave. So in just over a week's time (all fingers crossed for the next steps out of lockdown happening on the 17th May) we're launching our Summer Stitching Festival; six sessions over five weeks - three of them online, and three in our lovely garden. There'll be plenty of cover available for if (when) it rains!
Getting together in the same place will be a chance to meet up, to chat and just enjoy being with friends - as well as to stitch. Refreshments will be provided - including a light meal for the evening sessions.
This will be our last time to meet up for a while - so do come!!

There's a choice of stitching!
For knitters - there's a Sock Fest! The idea of four needles and turning a heel can be a bit daunting - but with a great pattern and loads of helpful hints, you can do it!
Wool, needles, pattern, and loads of encouragement will be provided, and you will go away with your own unique hand knitted socks!!
Or you can join a Crazy Patchwork Party! You'll be able to rummage through fabrics to choose your own colours and patterns, and get creative & confident in sticking and stitching.
You could go small, and make a pin cushion or purse, or big and make a bag or a cushion. It's up to you!
Fabric, interlining, etc all provided.
Or maybe you'd just like to finish your UFP? (Thats an 'unfinished project'!). Many of us have more than one UFP winking at us from a shelf or box - so this could be your chance to bring one along & get it finished. Masses of encouragement and help will be available!!
